सुवर्णसूर्य फाउंडेशन आयोजित कोकण कोस्टल हाफ मॅरेथॉनचे पर्व मोठ्या उत्साहात नववर्षाच्या पहिल्या रविवारी यशस्वीपणे पार पडलं. यामध्ये रत्नागिरीतील ६७ धावपटूंनी २१ किलोमीटरची स्पर्धा नियोजित वेळेत पूर्ण केली. याबद्दल आज मॅरेथॉनच्या रविवारच्या प्रॅक्टिस रनप्रसंगी रत्नागिरीतील विविध संस्थांनी या धाववंतांच्या पाठीवर कौतुकाची थाप मारली. थिबा पॅलेस रोड येथे हा छोटेखानी कार्यक्रम झाला.
The first ever Kokan Coastal Half Marathon was held on the first Sunday of the new year. The marathon was a huge success and there are already plans for a second marathon next year. The theme of the second marathon will be "Save Biodiversity".
Goal of the marathon is to promote biodiversity conservation in Kokan. Organizers are recruiting 100 farmers to plant trees throughout the region. The event will be held annually on the first Sunday of January, with the next one scheduled for 4th January 2024.
